RELAY DAY 2025

Relay Day is a full-day community fundraising event hosted by The Royal Oak, Chapel Ash, in support of Midland Freewheelers Blood Bikes. Taking place on Saturday 19th July, it features four consecutive relays – motorbiking, cycling, walking, and running – with each leg showcasing a different part of Wolverhampton and the surrounding area. The event brings together local residents, volunteers, and supporters for a shared challenge, culminating in the grand opening of our brand-new outdoor space and all-weather garden building, followed by live music and a community celebration.

Relay Day is all about coming together to make a real difference. Every mile covered and every participant involved helps raise vital funds for Midland Freewheelers Blood Bikes – a volunteer-run charity providing urgent medical transport across the region, 365 days a year. Their service is free to the NHS and saves lives by delivering blood, samples, and critical medical supplies where they’re needed most. By taking part in Relay Day, you’re directly supporting this incredible work.

There’s a £10 entry fee to take part in any leg of the relay, with every penny going straight to the charity. Whether you're riding, cycling, walking or running, your contribution will help fuel the wheels of this life-saving service. Additional donations are also warmly welcomed on the day, and there’ll be opportunities to get involved in raffles, collections, and other fundraising activities throughout the event.
